What is the best way to connect the tulle ribbon?

I am a princess tutu for my daughter's first birthday. The skirt is tulle, then attach some type of band (perhaps privately) to the edge. I'm trying to decide whether a piece of adhesive would be best for this, or if the sewing would be a better bet. If sewing, I need to iron the ribbon in half so that I can attach to the front and back of the net? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated =)

I have a tulle skirt thin strips, was on sewing by hand, only took a little time, but a little and little fingers could get fired, you can go with washable glue first and then the seam by hand. I do not bother with folding in half to make both parties unless the film becomes very large. You could make a longer skirt so you can grow with you and not just a short that will overcome my 18 months) looks like a big surprise for her, good luck with it!
